In our Apr 08 poll Citibank was the worst performing bank. Only 15% of Predictive Customers felt that Citibank was gaining ground compared to its rivals. 58% felt it was losing ground. This gave Citibank a negative net momentum of -43%. By Sep 08 there was no significant change with net momentum still very negative at -32%.

 

This was reflected in poor Growth Factor scores compared to Citi’s competitive set.

Vox Pop rated Citibank a short on May 1st 08. With the results of the Sep poll we maintained this position into 2009, during which period the stock lost over $20.00 off its price.
